Cardiomyopathy
Overview
Cardiomyopathy is abnormal heart muscle, such as enlarged chambers or thickened walls. It makes it hard for the heart to deliver blood to the body. It can lead to heart failure.
Symptoms
Symptoms include breathlessness, swollen legs and feet, and a bloated belly.
Treatments
Drugs, implanted devices, surgery, and, in severe cases, transplant, are treatments.
