Our Community Matters

About $27 million in charity and uncompensated care is given each year to the people we serve. Nurse Recruitment

Tara is responsible for identifying and recruiting nurses who will passionately serve our patients.

Tara Martin

Tara Martin joined Mosaic Life Care as the nurse recruiter in 2017. Previously, Tara was a nurse recruiter for SquadBuilders Medical Staffing based in Overland Park, Kan. Tara is responsible for identifying and recruiting nurses who will passionately serve our patients.


Tiffany Chalfant

Tiffany joined Mosaic Life Care in 2005 in our Emergency Room. She has been with the talent team since 2008. Tiffany is the recruiter for support services as well as many niche positions throughout the hospital.

Megan Molloy

Megan Molloy has been with Mosaic Life Care since 2018. Prior to joining the talent team, Megan worked for Altec and Boehringer Ingelheim, two leading employers in St. Joseph. Megan recruits allied health and nursing support positions for Mosaic Life Care.

Physician and Advanced Practice Provider Recruitment

Jenny Davey

Jenny began her career with Mosaic Life Care in 2008 and has supported physician and advanced practice provider recruitment and retention since 2017. She is an experienced leader and was previously responsible for Mosaic Life Care’s Pain Management clinic and Bariatric Surgery clinic. Jenny is detail oriented and excels at interacting and building relationships with others. Jenny earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Northwest Missouri State University and an MBA at William Woods University.

Cheryl Portman

Cheryl began her career with Mosaic Life Care in 2002 and has provided oversight for physician and advanced practice provider recruitment and retention since 2015. She has extensive experience as a human resources leader and was previously responsible for Mosaic Life Care’s executive recruitment. Cheryl’s expertise and excellent customer service are key to identifying top talent and delivering an outstanding experience to each of our candidates and new providers during the selection process and as their career with Mosaic Life Care begins.

Mosaic Life Care is based in St. Joseph, Mo., but our organization continues to grow throughout northwest Missouri — providing many opportunities for a variety of lifestyles and interests.

Our main hospital is located in St. Joseph, Mo., less than an hour north of Kansas City, Mo. With close proximity to the metropolitan area and the Kansas City International Airport, St. Joseph maintains a high quality of living including easy access to sporting events, live theater, fine and casual dining, entertainment, outdoor recreation, family friendly activities and nightlife.
