The Art Experience transforms the hospital environment by enhancing the health-care experience and encouraging physical and emotional well-being.
The idea of art as a transformative and healing experience in hospitals has proven to be very successful. Programs like this have been gaining popularity over the years, and today, many art-in-hospitals programs have blossomed into extensive networks of artists, art organizations and hospitals.
According to widely accepted research, the art-health initiative within the health-care environment was shown to:
- Improve symptoms in patients such as a shorter length of hospital stay, decreased use of pain medication and lower blood pressure.
- Increase satisfaction with the health-care environment for patients, family and caregivers.
Let your creativity take center stage by entering your artwork for consideration in one of the Mosaic Life Care Art Experience Galleries. The process is simple. The Art Experience partners with Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
All submissions are due to the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. As a reminder, you only need to submit a photo of your work. Please do not take the original pieces to the museum.
