Bio
Isaac Mattis, DO, is a family care physician who recently joined Mosaic Family Care – Stanberry. Dr. Mattis is no stranger to a rural community or Mosaic Life Care. He grew up in a small community of less than 2,000 people in Gallatin, Mo., and was part of the Northwest Missouri AHEC Career Enhancement Scholars (ACES) program through the Northwest Missouri Area Health Education Center (NWMO AHEC) from 2010 – 2013.
As an NWMO AHEC scholar, Dr. Mattis helped educate local rural community high school students and young children about careers in medicine. He also attended teachings that focused on treatment and practicing medicine in rural, underserved areas and the possible hurdles he might face.
Dr. Mattis received his undergraduate degree from William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., in chemistry and pre-medicine. He later attended AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo.
Dr. Mattis provides wellness exams and health maintenance for the entire family, from infants to adults.
