When to seek emergency help

Seek emergency care for:

  • Intense pain even after taking a pain reliever and rewarming.
  • Intense shivering.
  • Slurred speech.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Trouble walking.
  • Suspected hypothermia. Symptoms of hypothermia are intense shivering, drowsiness, confusion, fumbling hands and slurred speech.
