Keratosis pilaris


Overview

With keratosis pilaris, rough patches and small, acnelike bumps appear on skin.

Symptoms

The patches usually on the arms, thighs, cheeks, and buttocks. The bumps are white, sometimes red, and typically don't hurt or itch.

Treatments

The condition isn't often serious and usually disappears by age 30. Medicated creams and laser therapy may help skin appearance.
