As we strive to be the first and preferred choice in health care in our community, we aim to be transparent in providing information that helps our patients make an educated decision when choosing a health care provider. To help make this information publicly available, we provide star ratings for our providers. Keep reading to learn how our star ratings are calculated using authentic patient survey data.
"You deserve to have the ability to choose a doctor or nurse practitioner who is the best fit for you or your loved ones. Sharing patient ratings helps everyone make informed decisions about their healthcare."
— Aimee, Patient Experience Coordinator
Who receives a satisfaction survey?
Patients who have had an inpatient or outpatient encounter with us receive a survey.
How are the star ratings calculated?
Provider star ratings are calculated by using patient feedback gathered through standardized surveys.
Why don't all providers have a star rating on the website?
Star ratings only show on our website for physicians and nurse practitioners who are employed by Mosaic. We have independent providers on our website as well, but we don't receive survey data on them or show star ratings for them.
In order to give the most accurate and fair star rating for providers, we require that a provider has a minimum of 30 survey responses before showing a star rating for them. If a provider doesn't have a star rating showing on the website, they are either an independent provider or simply haven't received enough survey data yet.
How does Mosaic use the survey responses?
We use survey responses for awareness to our clinics and providers of the experience patients have with them. By doing this, these survey insights help us build on strengths, but also give us a patient–centered lens to drive real improvements.
Why is survey data important to Mosaic?
Studies show a link between patient experience and better health outcomes. Patients who feel heard are more likely to follow recommended care plans.
Survey data also reflects whether or not we are truly meeting the needs of our patients.
