Michael Dahip, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph – Gastroenterology.
Dr. Dahip earned his doctorate of medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, West Indies. He completed his residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. and his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.
“I chose medicine because it was challenging,” says Dr. Dahip. “I have always had an affinity towards science. I was fortunate that my uncle, who is a surgeon in Canada played a huge role in encouraging my interest. He often shared stories about helping patients and the challenges that he faced. In addition, I have always been a fan of medical sitcoms. Both ‘Scrubs’ and ‘House MD’ showed the human aspects when dealing with complex cases while having personal struggles.”
Dr. Dahip is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
