Dr. Crouse is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and serves as a hospitalist for Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph, Medical Center.

“Going through illnesses with my family and myself, I realized how important it is to have a doctor who treats you physically and emotionally,” says Dr. Crouse. “I try to be that physician every day.”

Dr. Crouse earned her bachelor’s in communications from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. She attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience in Kansas City, Mo., where she earned her medical degree.

“I went back to medical school later in life because I wanted to do more to help people,” says Dr. Crouse. “I think most of the answers to patients’ ailments lie in the story, so I do my best to listen.”

A hospitalist’s primary focus is the medical care of hospitalized patients. Dr. Crouse typically sees patients with pneumonia, congestive heart failure and renal failure.
