When to make a doctor’s appointment

Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

• Depression in older children and adults
• Child�s crying is unexplained and doesn�t stop after one day
• Fever, vomiting, or diarrhea
• Rash

Self-care

Feeding, cuddling or offering something to suck may soothe a crying child. If crying causes frustration, let someone else take the baby or place the baby in a crib.

When to seek immediate medical care

See a health care professional right away for:

• Trouble breathing.
