Duvvuri, Abhiram, MD

Bio

Abhiram Duvvuri, MD, earned his degree from Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He completed his residency at MacNeal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn, Ill and his fellowship training in gastroenterology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kan. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Duvvuri chose to specialize in gastroenterology because it touches so many other specialties—like infectious disease, oncology, and immunology. He also enjoys performing procedures that have a direct effect on patient care —including screening for colorectal cancers. He joined the Mosaic team because it afforded him the ability to provide evidence-based care in the community he serves.

“I always go into a patient room and try to understand exactly what is going on from their perspective, so I hear their stories from their standpoint,” he says. “Then I try to do my best to provide the best care for them at the right time and right place.”

Dr. Duvvuri treats patients with IBS, Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), GERD, Celiac, esophageal disorders, gallbladder diseases as well as pancreatic and biliary conditions. He treats patients with cancers, such as gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and colorectal. He performs therapeutic endoscopies and colonoscopies.
