Bio

Fadi Hamid, MD earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in Aleppo, Syria. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in Kansas City, Mo. He is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology.

Dr. Hamid completed three fellowship trainings in geriatric medicine, gastroenterology, and an advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C.

He was drawn to gastroenterology because of its complexity and the fact that it involves multiple organ systems. He also enjoys seeing a wide range of patients, treating everyone from teens to seniors.

“I would like patients to know that we are there for them,” he said. “Whether it’s to investigate a problem or to screen for colon cancer, we will always be available and we will always guide them through the process to deliver top-notch care.”

In addition to performing colorectal cancer screenings, Dr. Hamid treats patients with celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, immunotherapy, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) microscopic and ulcerative colitis.
